NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Award-winning Residence Music recording artist Justin Gambino is celebrating the long-awaited arrival of his first child, the joyous event leading a string of major milestones for the singer/songwriter this year. Gambino was also recently nominated for seven Josie Music Awards recognizing excellence in independent music, and his highly anticipated original worship set, Garden of the Lord, is OUT NOW!
The Texas-based artist and his wife, Ashley, welcomed son Theodore on May 7. Meaning “gift of God,” Theodore’s name bears witness to the Lord’s faithfulness following the couple’s seven-year struggle with infertility. During this challenging season Gambino was inspired to write Garden of the Lord standout track “Depend on You (All I Need)” along with Walter Halliwell and John Stratton as a personal reminder that God is our refuge and strength amidst life's uncertainty.
A collection of five new songs all co-penned by Gambino, along with one instrumental selection, Garden of the Lord marks his first-ever worship release. The Residence Music EP will be celebrated on Saturday, August 22 during a special event at the Lake Jackson Civic Center in Lake Jackson, TX. — Join Gambino for an evening of songs and stories. Tickets for the Garden of the Lord EP Release Party are available now through the events tab.
Adding to an already momentous 2026, Gambino has been nominated for a total of seven Josie Music Awards, including Artist of the Year and Vocalist of the Year in the Christian/Gospel/Inspirational category, and EP of the Year - Christian/Gospel/Inspirational for his 2025 release Just Like Jesus. The largest independent music awards show in the world, the 12th Annual Josie Music Awards will be held September 20 at Nashville’s famed Grand Ole Opry House.
ABOUT JUSTIN GAMBINO
For more than a decade, acclaimed singer/songwriter Justin Gambino has cultivated an enthusiastic following with his charismatic live performances and hope-filled anthems. With a powerful prodigal story of redemption anchoring his music and ministry, today Gambino has three EPs, two full-length recordings, and multiple music videos to his credit. He maintains an impressive touring schedule, performing in numerous churches, coffeehouses, and at festivals around the country each year. Known for such signature songs as "Just Like Jesus,” “Courage,” and “Fighting On My Behalf,” Gambino was named Artist of the Year - Christian/Gospel/Inspirational Male at the 10th Annual Josie Music Awards in 2024.
Gambino’s prodigal journey is an overarching theme in his music and ministry. A rebellious teen, he was arrested for theft at the age of 18. Opting for military enlistment and community service in lieu of incarceration, he spent eight years in the US Navy. While serving in Iraq, Gambino was asked to lead worship on base, rekindling a love for music he first embraced as a child. Battling PTSD and anger issues following his military service, Gambino turned to alcohol and spiraled into depression and despair. One night, on the floor of his apartment, he cried out to God for help and a new journey of redemption, hope and purpose began. Coming full circle, Gambino now holds the Brazoria County Revival each year on the steps of the Texas courthouse where he was sentenced as a teen.
